A tour of the Polkadex 2.0 Orderbook
The public testnet ran from 22 July to 30 September 2026 and is now closed. These screens were captured from it. The Orderbook returns to mainnet in November 2026, after the runtime upgrade in October.
Nothing on this page is live. There is no testnet to connect to, no faucet and nothing to claim. The team never messages anyone first and never asks for keys.
Non-custodial
Funds stay in accounts you control. A trading account is an on-chain proxy, not a deposit with the team.
Off-chain matching, on-chain settlement
Orders match at exchange speed in the OCEX engine; every trade settles on the Polkadex chain.
Cross-chain via Hyperbridge
Assets from other chains reach the Orderbook through Hyperbridge, the only bridge on Polkadex 2.0.
The trading screen
A fully non-custodial exchange built on the Polkadex chain. Chart, order book, markets and the order form on one screen. Getting started took three steps: connect a wallet, create a trading account, fund it.

PDEX/USDT market on the testnet, before any wallet is connected. Connect a funding wallet
Connect wallet links a Polkadot extension such as Polkadot.js, Talisman or SubWallet. The account that holds PDEX becomes the main on-chain account. Keys never leave the wallet.

A trading account is a lightweight on-chain proxy that executes orders on your behalf without gas fees. It needs only a small PDEX deposit from the funding wallet.

Trading account creation, signed once by the funding wallet. Fund the account
Fund Account moves assets from the funding wallet into the trading balance. On the testnet, free tokens came from the faucet or were bridged in from Sepolia.

Cross-chain deposits run over Hyperbridge. Pick the source chain and asset, enter an amount, confirm in the source wallet, and the asset arrives in the Polkadex account. On mainnet this is how assets from other chains reach the Orderbook.

Bridge screen: Sepolia testnet to Polkadex testnet, WETH selected. Markets and recent trades
The market selector shows the active pair with live price, 24h change, high, low and volume. Markets lists every trading pair; Recent Trades shows the latest executions on the current pair in real time.

Markets panel with the testnet pairs, filterable by quote asset. The order book
Live buy and sell orders by price. Clicking a row fills both price and amount into the order form; clicking only the amount or total copies that value. Matching is off-chain for speed; every trade settles on-chain.

Limit sets your own price; Market fills at the best available. If an order needs more than the trading balance, the button becomes Move and Buy: it deposits the shortfall from the funding account and places the order once it clears.

Order form with a limit order ready to submit. Open orders, history and balances
The bottom panel tracks open orders, order history, trade history and balances for the connected trading account. Withdrawals go back to the funding wallet from here.

What happens between now and launch
October: runtime upgrade 392 goes to a public vote. It removes the superuser key and the retired orderbook settlement module. Then the Hyperbridge relayers go live on mainnet, the 2024 orderbook balances are returned through governance, and the Orderbook relaunches in November.
