How to stake PDEX with Nova Wallet

Nova Wallet no longer shows Polkadex in its Staking tab, but your PDEX stays staked and nothing changes on chain. You can keep staking, change validators, claim rewards and unstake from your phone by opening the Polkadex Explorer inside Nova Wallet's built-in browser. The explorer never sees your keys: every action opens a signing request in Nova, and nothing happens until you approve it.

Before you start

• Nova Wallet installed, with a Polkadex account (your PDEX address starts with "es").
• Enough PDEX to stake plus a little extra for fees. Bonded PDEX shows as "reserved" in your wallet, and at least 1 PDEX must stay free in your account.

1. Open the explorer in Nova

1. Open Nova Wallet and go to the DApps tab.
2. Type explorer.polkadex.ee/stake in the search bar at the top and open it. Check the address carefully. Tap the star to save it to your favourites, so you never have to type it again.
3. Tap Connect Wallet. Nova asks whether to share your Polkadex account with the explorer. Approve it and pick your account. The explorer opens your wallet dashboard.

2. Choose validators

Before you stake, look at the Validators page. Check each validator's commission (the share of rewards it keeps), its total stake, and whether it has been slashed. You can nominate up to 16 validators at once; spreading your nominations means you keep earning if one drops out of the active set. Validators outside the active set in an era pay no rewards.

3. Stake

1. On your dashboard, tap Stake more.
2. Pick your validators, using the search box, filters and sort options. The window pre-fills any nominations you already have.
3. Enter the amount to stake. The window shows the minimum stake and your available balance.
4. Tap Sign & Submit, then approve the request in Nova.

Your first stake bonds and nominates in one transaction; later top-ups add to your existing bond. Rewards start from the next era (an era is about 24 hours).

4. Claim rewards

Rewards stay on chain until someone pays them out. On your dashboard, tap Pay out rewards. The window lists every unpaid reward and pays up to 30 of them in one transaction: tap Sign & Pay Out and approve it in Nova, so you sign once. Claim at least every few weeks: rewards older than about 84 eras can no longer be claimed, and the explorer marks eras that are close to expiring.

5. Unstake

1. On your dashboard, tap Unstake and enter the amount.
2. Tap Sign & Unstake and approve the request in Nova. Your PDEX enters a 28-day unbonding period and earns no rewards during it.
3. After 28 days, open Unstake again and tap Withdraw unbonded funds to return it to your free balance.

A partial unstake must leave at least the minimum bond staked; the window shows the current minimum. Tapping Max unstakes everything and clears your nominations, so you will need to nominate again if you stake later.

Stay safe

• Only use explorer.polkadex.ee, opened by typing it or from your bookmark, never from a link someone sends you.
• The Polkadex team will never message you first and never asks for your seed phrase or keys. Anyone who does is not us.
• Read each signing request in Nova before you approve it.
